Come and have a boule with us as we host 30 guests for an unforgettable evening filled with fun, friendly competition, and, of course, a few exciting rounds of pétanque.

Your hosts will be waiting for you at ALFI, an Italian bar with outdoor covered boules courts nestled in the heart of Spitalfields Market. Famed for organic & natural wines, craft beers, cocktails, and good old-fashioned fun. Our group of 30 single guests will have two courts for an hour and a half of light-hearted boules, socialising, and making new connections.

You’ll be welcomed at 19:15, given an optional name sticker, and shown where to leave your jacket. Then, grab an Aperol Spritz (or something else suitably sophisticated!) from the bar. Once you’re comfortable, your host will form mixed groups and give a quick rundown of the game. Boules and jacks (or cochonnets) will be handed out, and then it’s game on! The rounds will be short, giving your host the chance to mix things up and ensure you get to play with (or against?) as many guests as possible.

When you’re not aiming for that perfect shot, you’ll be hanging out in a private area adjacent to the courts, chatting, socialising, and spectating.

This is a super relaxed, light-hearted evening – the perfect setting for sparking a little spring or summer romance.

Once the game wraps up, you’ll be able to reconnect with any guests who caught your eye via our It’s a Date dashboard. This feature allows you to match, message, and organise a second date—or rematch!
