When we mention It’s a Date, "we", "us" or "our" in this privacy policy, we are referring to the aforementioned company responsible for processing your personal data.
We collect, use, and are responsible for certain personal data about you. When we do so we are subject to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. We are also subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) in relation to the goods and services we offer to individuals.
Personal data we collect about you
We donot store or have access to nor are able to view your payment details at any point. All payments are securely handled and all data is securely stored by our payment provider Stripe. Further information and the Stripe privacy policy can be found here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy
We collect and use personal data to provide products and/or services to you. When you subscribe to our newsletter or register for an It’s a Date event, we collect personal information from you; your name, email, contact number, gender, and date of birth so that we can provide you with our services and news regarding services that may be of interest to you.
As a client,you will have the option to add further details to create your profile. This data includes a profile image, your work position, sexual orientation, interests, and a short bio.
We also record which events you have attended, the preferences you select towards the guests you met at our events ('It's a Match' – Yes, 'Friend Zone' – Friend, or 'Not Compatible' – No), and the matches you received.
After you have attended an event, you will be invited to message those you have matched with. We do not store any records of the conversations that take place over our messaging system. If you give us a friend's information during the booking process, we will use it to provide the services you request from us.Before you give us a friend's information (their name, email address, gender, date of birth, and newsletter signup preferences), please be sure that you have your friend's permission to share information being requested.
Separately, if you choose to register advance interest in a special event or new event location or claim a special offer where we are considering organising an event, we will collect your name, your email address and the approximate age group you wish to meet. This is because we need to contact you by email about suitable events, new locations, or special offers.

We collect personal data directly from you via our website when you make a booking, or get in touch with us. However, we may also collect information with cookies.

Before giving us a friend's information (their name, email address, gender, date of birth, and newsletter sign-up preferences), please be sure that you have your friend's express permission to share that information with us. Thereafter, your friend will have the ability to delete their account and/ or unsubscribe from marketing communications via the link in email footers or by contacting james@itsadate.club via email. We will also use your information to get to know your preferences so we can improve our services and send personalised invites for special events.
Marketing
We may use your personal data to send you updates by email about our products and/or services, including exclusive offers, promotions,new products and/or services.
We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for marketing purposes (see above ‘How and why we use your personal data’).
You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by:

Right to deletion
You have the right to request that we delete any data that we hold on you. To do this, please contact us by email, write to us, or call our phone number.
Subject access request
You have the right to request that we give you a copy of the data we hold about you, this is commonly known as making a ‘Subject Access Request’ or SAR. A SAR can be made verbally or in writing, following which we will have one calendar month to respond.
Keeping your personal data secure
We have appropriate security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost or used or accessed unlawfully. We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to access it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
