Wine Tasting Evening
Description
| Have a Mer’lot of fun meeting fellow wine enthusiasts during this full-bodied evening of Old World wines with newfound single friends (new world wines also available!) at Drake and Morgan in Kings Cross.
Our resident wine connoisseur will take you and a select group of guests on an aromatic journey, introducing three premium seasonal wines accompanied by a mini charcuterie or cheese board to cleanse the palate and enhance your tasting experience. The evening will unfold around high tables on the ground floor of this light and airy venue—ideal for networking with fellow wine lovers or curious novices. You’ll be welcomed at 19:15 by your It’s a Date host, who will direct you on where to leave your jacket and introduce you to the rest of the group. Then, you’ll enjoy three 125ml servings of hand-selected wines—typically a red, a white, and a rosé or sparkling option. Our Drake and Morgan wine expert will share tasting notes, describing each wine’s aroma, flavour, and overall impression to add some depth to the evening. As you enjoy the wines, your host will introduce you to fellow guests, ensuring everyone has a chance to mingle and connect. The evening will conclude around 21:00, after which the bar will be open for a glass from your favourite bottle and the chance to continue socialising more widely. Once home, you can access a list of attendees on your It’s a Date dashboard to send match feedback and organise those second dates. A match is struck when two guests reciprocate identical feedback, indicating mutual intent to reconnect and enabling messaging via our online platform.
