Why Do People Join Dating Events?

Because sometimes, you just want to meet someone properly.

Dating looks different for everyone. Some people love the apps. Some use them occasionally. Some don’t use them at all. And for many people, dating events are simply another way to meet people — alongside everything else.

There’s something different about being in the same room as someone.

You can have a conversation. Share a laugh. See how they carry themselves. Feel their energy. Discover the things you have in common — and the things you definitely don’t.

It cuts through the swiping, the messaging and the trying to work out whether someone is your type from six carefully selected photos.

Instead, you’re actually doing something together.

A night out. A game of bowling. A walk in the park. A drink with a room full of interesting people. A chance to put your phone down and see what happens when you start talking.

And no, we don’t think everyone is going to meet their next partner at their first event. Dating isn’t quite that simple.
