After Shaking Up London, It’s a Date Heads to Manchester 

Big news: It’s a Date Heads to Manchester! After an incredible 18 months of hosting sold-out events across London, we’re bringing our unique events of real-life dating to Manchester this October.

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple — make dating fun again. No endless swiping, no ghosting, no awkwardness. Just great venues, creative icebreakers, and the chance to meet real people face-to-face. And judging by the feedback, it seems we’re onto something.

Why Manchester?

The appetite for in-person dating is bigger than ever. Eventbrite reported a 41% increase in singles events last year, and a U.S. study confirmed that 82% of adults in relationships met their partner in person, not online. Our London guests have been asking us for ages to expand north, and Manchester felt like the perfect next step.

Our first event will be hosted at Side Street Manchester, a chic and intimate venue in the heart of the city. Expect the same It’s a Date magic: warm hosts, fun icebreakers, and plenty of chances to spark conversations in a relaxed, stylish setting.

Do I have to come alone?

Not at all — but most people do! If you’re feeling nervous, know that everyone is in the same boat. Our hosts are there to welcome you, make introductions, and help things feel easy. But yes, you can absolutely bring a wing(wo)man if it helps.

What to Expect

Whether it’s a wine tasting, bowling night, or one of our buzzing singles parties, every event is designed to make it easy (and fun!) to meet people. Our hosts are there to break the ice, help with introductions, and keep the vibe friendly and relaxed. Afterwards, you can log into your It’s a Date dashboard, select who you’d like to see again, and continue the chat if it’s a match.
