Whether you’re thinking about booking your first It’s a Date event or you’re just curious about how it all works, you’re not alone. We’ve pulled together some of the most common questions we get from our guests — and answered them with total honesty.

What kind of people come to your events?

All sorts — and that’s what makes it great. Our guests are single, sociable, and open to meeting new people in real life. Most come solo (and a bit nervous!), but leave saying how relaxed and fun it felt. We host events for different age groups, so you’ll be mixing with people in a similar life stage — whether you’re 25 or 65.

Do I have to come alone?

Not at all — but most people do! If you’re feeling nervous, know that everyone is in the same boat. Our hosts are there to welcome you, make introductions, and help things feel easy. But yes, you can absolutely bring a wing(wo)man if it helps.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel like you. Our events are relaxed, so think smart-casual — nothing too formal, but put-together enough to feel confident. If you’re coming straight from work, no stress — many people do!

What happens at a speed dating event?

You’ll meet up to 15 singles in short, 5-minute dates — just enough time to see if there’s a spark. You’ll get a name tag, a match card, and a warm welcome from our amazing hosts. After the event, you log into your profile, select your matches, and connect if it’s mutual.

What if I don’t meet someone I click with?

Then you’ve still had a fun evening out, tried something new, and maybe even made a few friends. (Yes, that happens a lot.) But also — you never know who you’ll meet next time…

What other events do you run?

We host a whole mix of dating experiences — wine tastings, mixology masterclasses, bowling nights, games evenings, walking dates, and more. All designed to make meeting people feel easy, natural, and actually fun.

Where do your events take place?

Across London — from Soho to Shoreditch, Battersea to Tooting. All our venues are hand-picked for good vibes, great service, and a warm atmosphere. Many are private or semi-private spaces, so you can chat in comfort.

Can I come even if I feel like I’m “too old” or “too shy”?

Yes, yes, and yes. Dating is for everyone. We run events for ages 25 to 65, and we make sure everyone feels welcome — no matter your age, background, or dating history. You don’t need to be outgoing or confident — just open-minded.
